On our way back from Solvang to Orange County, CA. we had the opportunity to stop at Butterfly Beach in Montecito to fly one of our drones. Butterfly Beach is a favorite among Santa Barbara locals. The beach’s pristine shoreline is ideal for swimming, surfing and sunbathing, and its unique east-west orientation makes for some truly spectacular sunrises AND sunsets. Unfortunately, we did not have the time to take some footage of sunset, but we hope that get back there in a few months. It’s not Hawaii, but it is a great place to lounge with a good book, or venture into the ocean...
Part 3 of our travels took us to a spectacular, short trail that gets lots of love during its short hiking season. We grabbed our drone and headed up to Artist Ridge Huntoon Point, WA., where access to this area is less than three months per year. Lots of hikers and tourists take to Artist Ridge as the snow finally begins to melt. You can also view both Mt Baker and Mt. Shuksan from point of the ridge. Check out our video footage here.

This is Reveille Island in Lake Whatcom of Sudden Valley, WA. It is such a beautiful place from the ground and in the air using our drone to capture the beauty of the island and surrounding areas. Check out the videos here. Video 1 and Video 2.
We flew our drone in Huntington Beach to capture some aerial footage of the recent California oil spill. Click here to see video. What was once populated with surfers and beach-goers are now deserted. Lifeguards with cleaning crews are working in the area to keep people away from the shoreline. Another very sad and devastating hit to the environment and sea creatures. Beaches are obviously closed indefinitely until further notice.
