TURTLE BAY RESORT - OAHU

I am not a fan of resort hotels, but if you're looking for a vacation spot to relax and be away from the Waikiki crowd or tourist trap, check out the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu. The resort sits on 850 acres overlooking Kuilima Cove. This upscale resort is 6 miles from the Polynesian Cultural Center and 5 miles from the Banzai Pipeline surf spot. There are also several local spots you might enjoy for lunch and dinner in Kahuku (Papa Oles, Mike's Huli Chicken and Giovanni's Shrimp Truck) which is near by. A lot of locals eat at these venues so you know the food is good! After you are all fatten up and need some exercise, try the Climb Works Zipline in Keana Farms right next door. We've been there a few times and it is exhilarating to say the least. Anyway, here is a video I put together on our last visit at the resort. Hope you enjoy it. Aloha! Click here to see video.
